Our orchards are in full white and the D’Anjou bloom across the road is in full bloom. With the promise of over 70 degrees in the next two days, our valley fruit trees will be delighting visitors with their annual show. Expect bloom in the lower valley, with the mid and upper valley bloom to follow as the weather warms!
We hope to see you this weekend for Hood River’s Annual Blossom Weekend!

We are open for the 2012 season in Hood River!
We’ve got great Gorge wine (including our own signature wine, of course) — microbrewed local beers, local pears and apples, jams, honey and lots more. Our daffodils are blooming in our u-cut (or we cut) fields — we have four varieties right now.
Nick Bielemeier, local photograher extraordinaire is our featured artist for April. Nick works in incredible HDR photography that you need to see to believe.
Our orchard bloom is just a little shy of what we call “stage four”. The little guys and gals are still all clustered up, have shed their “winter coats” and are waiting for some nice warm sunny days to bloom. We check them daily and will post our best prediction for the annual fruit blossom blooms in the Hood River Valley.
We hope to see you very soon at The Gorge White House!

It was a great run, but our flowers fields are now done thanks to the first frost of the fall season in Hood River. Sad, but the end of this year’s growing season — on to the planning for next year’s flowers!

Come visit us at The Gorge White House in Hood River this weekend, October 14-16 to celebrate the release of winemaker, Steve Mason of Major Creek Cellars, newest fantastic red wine. “Goodness Gracie” is a blend of Cab Franc and Syrah. Cab Franc dominates the flavor profile and the Syrah gives it the foundation. It is 10% new oak, the rest neutral oak aged for over 2 years. We love it and hope you will too! We’re open Friday through Monday from 10 in the morning until 6 in the evening!
It is Hood River annual Harvest Festival Weekend. Lots to see and do in the hood!
